Daisuke Tsuji was born on August 4, 1981, in Kuwait City, Kuwait. He is of Japanese-American descent and grew up in a multicultural environment. Tsuji's father, Hirohiko, was an architect in Kuwait City. Tsuji pursued his passion for acting and earned a BA degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA.

Tsuji's acting career took off with a small role in the 2006 war movie, Letters From Iwo Jima. He later landed prominent roles in TV series such as Invasion and The Man in the High Castle.
