Hugo Friedhofer was born on May 3, 1901 in California. He also wrote the score to the classic 1957 film “An Affair to Remember,” starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. He was a cellist for the People’s Symphony Orchestra. He was hired as a musician by Fox Studios after he moved to Hollywood in 1929.
